This idyllic resort is set amongst the lush rainforest and majestic mountains of the Southern Alps and borders Mt Aspiring World Heritage National Park. The scenery here is exceptional with views over the wild Makarora river, into some of this country's most beautiful and untouched valleys. There are many things to do all at your doorstep, from a number of lovely short bush walks (one of which rewards you with a view of glow worms, if you walk it at night) to more demanding tramps and a series of adventurous activities, Helicopter and Plane flights, Jet boating, Fishing, the Blue pools, and more. We are 1 hour from Wanaka and 1 hour from Haast on state highway 6, the perfect location to relax and enjoy the surroundings from the cafe, bar, swimming pool, or at your accommodation.
