I'm a composer based in Scotland, specialising mainly in writing music for voices. I also conduct, and sing in several choirs.
Recent news
"Crux Fidelis" and "O Vos Omnes" have just been published by Amemptos Music on their new CD, Excelsior!
They will also be publishing the sheet music. This is an exciting new development, and I'm very much looking forward to working with Amemptos.
Upcoming performance: my arrangement of "We Three Kings" will be performed at Glasgow Chamber Choir's Christmas concert/service in Hyndland Church, Glasgow, at 6pm on 14th December.

Commissions and requests: if you'd like to discuss works for your choir or performing group, please contact me for a list of suitable works, giving details of pieces that you have recently performed and/or the standard of your choir. My PhD work deals with writing for choirs at all levels, and I am able to write suitable pieces for a choir performing at any level, from absolute beginners and children's choirs to professional choirs, large and small.
Composing tuition: I'm interested in teaching composition at all levels, and have taught from Standard Grade (GCSE) to university undergraduate level. If you're interested in receiving private composition tuition, or arranging specialist tuition for a school class, please get in touch. I'm based in Falkirk but can travel to Edinburgh or Glasgow.
I conduct choirs, orchestras and chamber groups. I'm currently looking to gain more experience in this area, and willing to conduct in return for travel expenses from Falkirk for the moment. I currently conduct Glasgow University Music Club Choir, and have conducted Edinburgh University Music Society Chorus, Hull University String Orchestra, Pembroke College Orchestra, and the orchestra of Scottish Opera.
